Why Changing Your Own Jewellery Sometimes Feels Impossible

It's Not You, It's the Hole

Like everything, piercing channels can change over time. They don't alway stay perfectly round and this can be impacted by the jewellery you wear. 

A flat-back has nothing to guide it in so you end up relying on brute force, which is exactly how a piercing gets irritated (or worse starts closing up) by accident.

Enter the Taper

An internally threaded insertion taper is a thin pin that gradually widens, it eases the channel open for you instead of you forcing anything through blind.

Thread it in gently, screw your jewellery onto the end, guide it through as you pull the taper back out, unscrew, done. Genuinely takes seconds once you've done it once.
